Unsanity has chosen to jump ship, and leave their loyal customer base screwed. DO NOT waste your money donating or buying a license as all you will be doing is throwing your money away. I deleted all my Unsanity haxies. Never again with Unsanity.

For those who believe that Unsanity does not respond to inquiries, I suggest that you read the announcement in the yellow box at the top of their blog page that has existed for months now:

http://www.unsanity.org/archives/betas/enthusiastic_trepidation.php

I own FontCard, FruitMenu, Menu Master, and WindowShade. All of their betas have worked well with Leopard on multiple Mac's.

Silk CommentaryParty Over - Version: 2.1.4b1, 6/25/2008 07:18PM PST

It appears that the party is over. Unsanity no longer responses to any inquires and the once great haxies are left stranded in limbo. It was fun while it lasted, but the transition to Leopard really never happened; Snow Leopard is now upon us.

I was wondering if Unsanity was going to give up and not be able to bridge the gap to Leopard-well..

Silk ReviewGood Solid Beta - Version: 2.1.4b1, 3/16/2008 10:16AM PST

I have yet to find anything wrong with Silk 2.1.4b1 (nor the previous beta).

I use MS Office, iWork, etc. and see nice smooth font rendering - even from documents from Windows users that have poor taste in font choices. ;-)

Both the previous beta for Leopard as well as the beta released today works well. I can finally get rid of Apple Garamond everywhere in Leopard. Thanks.

Silk ReviewI love SILK... - Version: 2.1.3, 5/31/2006 10:22PM PST

I use it in Tiger, and Entourage and it works just fine.

BUT YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHAT YOURE DOING WHEN INSTALLING,

because SILK is a haxie, it messes with certain parts of the OS that Apple would not be happy about-which is OK as long as you know what youre doing;
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST VERSION OF APE-APPLICATION ENHANCER- thought SILK usually installs that for you..

1. Quit ALL apps-and ya might as well unplug everything except KB&M, just to be safe.

2. do a restart, holding down 'command-S' at the same time;
When the prompt appears #Root: (or whatever) type: FSCK -FY (hit return) IF it comes back with "FIXED, but FILE SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED, keep doing FSCK until it doesnt say that anymore.
at the end of a final FSCK, reboot, holding down the shift key.
You will enter single user SAFE BOOT mode; log in.

3. Go to Disk Utility and repair permissions..

4. THEN install Silk, and configure it to your liking;
Reboot, repeating step 2-FSCK but dont hold down the shift key after rebooting-go back to normal mode; Repair permissions again.
I can guarantee you will have no problems with Silk on Tiger if you follow this simple proceedure;

I HATE the rather boring Apple default font Lucida Grande-I use Papyrus-I also customize my folders from the rather drab shiny blue ones the Apple defaults to;
I have one spiffy looking desktop and system.
Remember, Silk CAN cause you system problems if you dont install it correctly.

Silk Troubleshooting ReportDoesn't work with Entourage - Version: 2.1.1, 10/13/2005 11:00AM PST

If I enable Silk in Tiger, then Microsoft Entourage won't boot at all.
Still now I can't use Silk that I paid for. It sucks. I don't htink 2.1.2 will change that but I'll try it again...
