Product Description:

NIM Repair was designed for one purpose: to rectify situations where attempting to save changes made to NetInfo via NetInfo Manger results in the error "NetInfo write failed! (Operation succeeded)". Any changes that were made are lost and NetInfo reverts back to the previous state. The problem occurs when the permissions for NetInfo Manager, located inside the NetInfo Manager.app package, are altered. NIM Repair resets the file permissions back to the default setting and reactivates full functionality.

A Nony Mouse

this happen more that three times on different Macs. NIM isn't the only file affected- often the applications folder gets changed too. For offering a solution to newbies to file permissions for free you get four stars.

how often do the permissions in NetInfo Manager.app get changed in the first place?
