I found that if I add the made file name .gif or .tiff(when saveing it only has name) not a file extention, at the end I can use it in any Photo app.

I just downloaded the software and once I changed the preferences to English, found it very easy to use. I've tried other demo downloads for commercial programs that were much less intuitive.

If you print the bar code in illustrator exactly as it is created, you will see white space between black lines that are supposed to be close enough to make one large bar. Those white spaces become more visible as you scale up the bar code. The fix I used is: In Illustrator, select the lines and choose Object > Path > Outline stroke so they become black blocks insted of lines with stroke weight. Then I united those new black blocks with the unite button found it the Pathfinder palette. Voila! the white stripes are gone and you can scale the bar code at wish.

if I (as a german) first have to switch the prefs from french to english ; ) Thanks for cool freeware!
