So WHERE is the final Version 8, it's been a long time since a Debug version was made -- Audio and Video Messenger updates -- what a slow train called Microsoft!

Microsoft Messenger CommentaryTake a note, not updated for months and having joke like bug - Version: 7.0.2, 4/25/2009 11:54AM PST

Safari 4 "beta" while marked as beta, not very unstable so most people keep it as default browser.

Messenger 7.0.2 has problem with the Webkit (system wide) coming with the Safari 4 beta so it loses focus in chat windows every time when you press enter. It is such an obvious bug that any user can see. It has been reported on Microsoft web forums and NNTP server numerous times by different people. It is not something like you have to sample the process, show very technical details or anything. It loses focus, basic as that!

It has been 2 months MS can live with an instant messenger which is the most popular product of Mac (check download numbers) and _also_ used in corporate communications having such a bug.

I know some developers who aren't paid, giving no guarantee of any sort would cancel their real life events to fix such a bug and they rely on donations, not a multi billion gigantic company.

This application and its lack of updates should show you how much to rely on MS on OS X. ZERO.

Microsoft Messenger Troubleshooting ReportOnly application effected by Safari 4 beta? - Version: 7.0.2, 2/28/2009 02:04PM PST

When you have Safari 4 beta installed and press enter after writing a message, window loses its focus requiring you to press left mouse button to type again.

It is kinda funny that only app having such disaster like issue after Safari 4 (beta) is a Microsoft Messenger.

There are so many better services to use. Why does MS even keep putting time into this with such a subpar services offering.

It is seriously terrible.

Microsoft Messenger for Mac v7.0.2 is pretty much the same as v7.0.1, and to be honest, it's quite disappointing. I say it's disappointing because this update does not add anything significant for Mac users :(, like webcam support, Winks, nudging, and offline messaging. Overall, this update for Microsoft Messenger for Mac is pretty much disappointing.

Microsoft Messenger CommentaryIt HAS video and audio...when used in corporate environ - Version: 7.0.2, 2/5/2009 05:23PM PST

And apparently Iceman has been locked in cold storage too long because Yahoo now has voice support and you can call peoples land line or cell phones as well.

Microsloth is well aware of the other offerings for consumer chat on the Mac. They chose to upgrade the corporate side for companies running their communication server and the features nearly match that of the Windows side of things....and since these folks actually PAY for the server software, it's worth it to Microsloth to keep the corporate peeps happy while using their Macs...

This is one of the best pieces of crap I've ever seen. Adium is years ahead and it simply works. This doesn't have video, audio, lack of features that are out of the box for the Windows counterpart...

I really wonder why anyone would use this when the alternative chat client have the same features and work way better. So... ZERO. Bad Microsoft for not improving their client of a single bit over the years.

Both Yahoo and MS messenger suck. No Video or Audio support (Yahoo has slow video no audio). Skype rules!
