are not afraid of Terminal, there is a versatile library and command-line program called "barcode" that can be downloaded for free from sourceforge.net. With a little bit of shell scripting, I believe it will do everything this product does. I just used it to generate consecutive UPC+5 barcodes in EPS format for my line of note cards, from data stored in a database. It is easily integrated with other free UNIX software, like perl, PHP, MySQL. Did I mention it is FREE? Of course, if you demand a GUI, you may be better off spending $500...

works well, but I think far too expensive for what it does. Also, I couldn't test the functionality of importing a text file. No matter what type of text doc I make, it either will not allow importing, or when it does, I get a nilObject Exception error and it shuts down. If that function doesn't work correctly, it would quickly get tiring to type in long lists of barcode numbers to generate. Minus one star for being so expensive and minus one for the problem with the text import.
