smartin807Would have preferred a version that includes "pixel" distance as well, but would have REALLY liked an app. that measured between "clicks" or something similar.

Clams McShrewOther initiatives include system add-ons and stand-alone applications that seamlessly track such data as number of times computers are started-up and shut-down, frequency of laptop lid closures, keys typed per minute, per hour, per day, week, month, year, mouse movement patterns (i.e. constant, smooth, steady, active, dynamic, jumpy, erratic, wild, etc), voice recognition statistics (i.e. voice volume averages, frequency of detected speech, basic analysis of audible emotional cues and other speech patterns over time), sound volume and screen brightness adjustments, application meta histories, and many other observed patterns, including, of course mouse distance travelled.
Among developers participating in this trend there is much excitement and enthusiasm, and a hope that increased cybermetric data collection and SETI@home-like sharing of the task of analysis, will result in further empowerment of endusers to better manage and control their experience, while assisting developers moving forward towards the creation of applications that better understand, address and automatically self-adapt to the ever-changing personal computing environment, and the evolving needs and habits of the individual humans who operate these machines.

Stewart01HOWEVER its application like this that gives RB a bad image...
Its great that people are making lots of applications for Mac using RealBasic... as long as RB is not abused... but, this is the worse type of abuse - charging money for such a basic application.
AO must spent less than an hour on his applications and which offer no extra functionality over free apps - even applications bundled with OSX... such as Text Edit ( Simple Text Editor), FileMerge (Differences Examiner (which doesn't work )) etc etc.
Offering file changes such as "Full recompilation" and bumping up a major version number isn't impressive... Do those (poor people) who registered the previous version - are they offered a free upgrade - or have they got to pay more money, for what - a developer pressing the 'Make All' button?!!!
A Few of AO apps would be good, if they were free... but really, they aren't worthy of charging money... really because they don't offer functionality that goes beyond anything than basic. More often than not, they just don't work too well ( I'm not talking specifically about Mouse Measurer).

KugoToggle Booleans had a mouse odometer. As I remember it, it could measure the distance your mouse traveled in light years!
They also had the invincible 'Elvis Detector' with full instructions how to detect Elvis Presley in your vicinity. Awesome stuff.
But it was all FREE.
