to be a nice program from the "screenshot" views. However, I'm unable to test the product (or other software from their site) because of several reasons: [1] The email address for support is no good. Their email address is difficult to find to begin with; and when you do find it out, their support address keeps coming back as non deliverable. This is the only address that I could find: <support@jesusreigns.co.uk>. If a developer is this hard to get a hold of, I've experientially learned to stay clear--especially when the product is $20.00. [2] They advertise their products to be compatible from os9 through osX Universal. However, there's a major glitch with that claim. I'll explain: Whether their software is on VT's site or on their site (in their case, it's only a DL page--no web site) it's non functioning for os9. Most ALL developers fail to realize that os9 users can not use osX desktop compressed files because, once opened, they are generic useless files. OSX files are e.g.: osX-zip, sitX, dmg, or some kind of universal binhex file. OS9 users are still only capable of using e.g., sit, sea, img, and zip or binhex files compressed for os9. Developers using osX have the capability to compress files that os9 users can use when their osX compression software is set correctly, but they fail to use the proper settings within that software for os9 capability. That's also assuming, of course, that the software that they're developing with is capable of compiling code for both platforms. I hope this advice gets back to this developer, and will help the reader here to understand what's happening. Personally, I'm tired of emailing developers about this issue. Perhaps some of you will notify developers about this issue too, if they still choose to sell to us hardcore os9 users.
Downloaded file is no good - Version: 4.47, 10/7/2006 10:27AM PST

The MyAccounts UB 4.47.app download always ends up corrupt or incomplete even though it appears that all went well. In other words, there is no way that I can check out this app even though I would very much like to. (And no, I am not having this problem with any other downloads.)
.sitx file now opens, and I like this program and support

The good download if you're a Mac OS X user is at http://homepage.mac.com/robinmh/.cv/robinmh/Public/MyAccounts4.42.sitx-binhex.hqx . (If you just navigate to the download folder, the .sitx file is the one you want - it's clear that the author has had file transfer or posting problems at .mac.) I like MyAccounts, and the author has worked hard to keep it updated. (The bug I experienced with the program failing to open affected me in version 4.41, and Robin and I exchanged emails about how to fix it.) I'm now a registered user, because the program is easy to use and the information it gives me in keeping a budget for a non-profit school group is all I need. I considered designing a template in FileMaker Pro or Excel, and I've investigated a few other inexpensive budgeting programs at VersionTracker, but MyAccounts takes care of the essentials easily for me.
