Softpedia rates StreamRipperX 1.5 as 100% CLEAN, which means it does not contain any form of malware, including spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors. 100% clean of malware,spyware,trojans,backdoors. Little Snitch did not indicate any suspicious outgoing requests for on my system. Be advised Softpedia redirected the down load the sourceforge.net. This software works well and is free.

Yup, it still wants to contact a website! No longer as obvious as before (when it referred back to a known porn site) but still:
The application "curl7103" wants to connect to 17.254.4.130 on TCP port 80 (http)
At the moment the source code to 17.254.4.130 just says "HolyMoly", so maybe they're just gauging the use of the app (using their web stats).
