artvandalayAnd the current versions have severe MEMORY LEAK problems that cause your system to max out the processors for no reason. Killing and restarting the program is the only solution, and then the memory leak problems return soon.
Company refused to fix.

emory.smithhowever, i am baffled by the fact that the author would make this an application, as opposed to a background process with a startup item. its difficult to justify the price for a program thats supposed to make it easier to check your email when you have to remember to start it up every time and then have it in the way (and in the dock, and in the switcher, etc) ... a preference pane, a mail.app plugin (like the httpmail plugin), anything that would run transparently and stay out of the way would be well worth the $20.
i guess its a little better if your fortunate enough to have an extra computer to run it on, but even with that, i would go to check my email at work only to realize that nothing new was there because i had rebooted my home machine and forgotten to restart the application.
it would be like paying for a premium hotmail account so you can get the forwarding feature, but then having to call up the hotmail folks a few minutes before checking your email to say "ok, im ready ... forward it now" and then having to wait until everything was finished forwarding before you could hang up the phone ...
one other thing ... beware that the download is a "sit" file ... not sure what this is, but there doesnt appear to be any way to open/mount/untar it using os x (seems like i used to have some program that recognized these ...)

Yahoo Mail Beta Accounts - Version: 3.2.3, 10/23/2006 04:54PM PST

SSPI SupportIf you are taken directly to the welcome page when you log in (without seeing an invitation page first), the logo at the upper left corner of the page will say Yahoo Mail Beta, with a link to "Switch Back". Mail Forward will work correctly if you switch it back to an original Yahoo Mail account.
Note: If you are using the Apple Safari browser, you will not see a Yahoo Mail Beta logo or have the switch back link. In this case, you will need to use a different browser to switch your account back. Firefox for Mac OS X will work, as well as Internet Explorer on a Windows computer. Other browsers may display an Unsupported Browser web page, with a link to Switch Back at the top. This can also be used successfully.

Right-AidI have been using Mail Forward since version 1. I have been using it for over 3 years now and it is worth every cent of it's $19.95 price.
I can forward mail from all of my web accounts to one email account that I check on my desktop application of choice (in this case I am using Apple's Mail application). Mail Forward has worked flawlessly for over 3 years now. A few times the web accounts had updates or changes that caused Mail Forward not to work, but there has always been a fast patch of some kind.
And I cannot say enough about their customer support. They supported their softare with multiple correspondence between myself and their support team...even on a weekend! You can't lose by trying Mail Forward.

memphisbirdI used to use Yahoo as my online email service. I paid for their premium service at $19.95 per year so that I could make use of some of the bells and whistles, including POP access and mail forwarding. When Gmail came along, it was good-bye to Yahoo -- for the most part -- but I still get emails at Yahoo and I do want to keep my Yahoo addresses for online ordering, etc. What I did NOT want to do was continue to pay $19.95 per year for the service. With Mail Forward, I don't have to. I paid once for the software and I have it ALL sent to my Gmail account.
As for the comment about Gmail is listed at all: I remember when Yahoo had free POP access and forwarding, something they offered when they first started up. Who's to say that Gmail won't decide to go the way of Yahoo and ask for payment for this "premium" service. If that ends up being the case, you will be glad that Gmail is listed as working with Mail Forward.
Works very well
