The idea for this app is a general purpose tool for gen-chem students and occasional tool for the practising chemist who can't remember the formula's. Use the force (sourceforge) and you will have thousands of smart helpers. Shareware may work if you add teaching examples. But I can't think of many people who would buy this as a commercial app. Go the sourceforge route, and you may create something really cool and somthing to be proud of.

I can see it's a work in progress, so I'd like to point out a few things and give you a couple of suggestions:
* Uncertainity: It would be great to be able to add an uncertainity (± or %) along with every value, and have it calculated for the final result.
* Balancing equations. They get more and more complex and tedious.
* Many people prefer the negative exponent way of writing some units, like "mol dm to the minus 3rd" or "g mol to the minus one"
* Empirical formulas
I'm sure there's lots more to add. Anyway, keep up the good work.
