MailSwitch CommentaryBack Up You Files - Version: 2.0.1, 3/30/2005 08:54PM PST

I used this piece of software and fortunately I backed up my mail program before using it because it erased all my files when I installed it. Funny thing about it though was it didn't seem to do anything else otherwise. Maybe I don't understand the program. If you want to find out if it works for you, do back up. I am using Panther, OS 10.3.8.

MailSwitch CommentaryHow do you switch address books - Version: 2.0.0, 12/2/2003 03:48PM PST

Doug Lerner
This is a great idea. I can't figure out how to switch address books though. How does that work?

I use Entourage, and wanted to at least give Mail.app a try, but not having multiple identity support was a real show stopper for me. This is somewhat alleviated, of course, by fast user switching. But a utility like this would be even easier.

I'm not sure I prefer Mail.app over Entourage yet though. I imported mailboxes from an Entourage identity and Mail.app crashed in the middle of the import. Also, most of my friend's emails got marked as "junk". And there are quite a lot of places in message lists where Japanese is not showing up correctly.

Of course none of those issues are MailSwitch's fault. :)
