I've been using the Tascam US-428 for many months with OS X, and it is rock solid. It deserves a top rating for performing as advertised. The only reason I dropped back off 5 stars overall is because the US-428 is an inexpensive unit. The newer Tascam FW-1884 is now at the top of my with list.
