Product Description:

Bubble Trouble is a classic arcade game in which cutthroat fishies are playing hardball in a squabble over some very wet turf. Think of it as splatball for insufferably cute seafaring critters (hey, they need their fun too). Bubble Trouble's world is filled with lusciously-drawn cartoony critters who give that cranky crab from "The Little Mermaid" a run for his money. But money isn't what you'll be running from: an otherwise peaceful fish bowl has been filled with bubbles that are being tossed around in an enthralling game of "Squish the Fish!"

What's new in this version:

  • Changed startup so if screen fades can't be used it defaults to wipes, rather than quitting with an error
  • Fixed bug with Jaguar where screen could flash indefinitely if game was switched to background when playing in full screen or with 'switch depth for speed' option on
  • Updated resolution switching code, which should make it more compatible with newer systems
  • Several smaller bug fixes and changes

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.1
  • Mac OS X 10.0
  • Mac OS Classic

Additional Requirements:

  • PPC
  • Mac OS 8.6 or higher with CarbonLib
    or
  • Mac OS X 10.0 or higher

Ambrosia may be trying to fight pirates, but they are also making life miserable for their paying customers (a dangerous game to play).

I've been using Bubble Trouble and Pop Pop for a while and suddenly the passwords are no longer valid. I enter the password I'm given by Ambrosia and it tells me my date and time are set wrong. They aren't and I can't play my games.

It's going to be a while before Ambrosia gets my business again.

Bubble Trouble X Usage TipRe: New Serial Number - Version: 1.0.2, 2/12/2004 02:26PM PST

This is due to Ambrosia's new anti-piracy mechanism. The serial you buy is good for 2 weeks. After that it expires. When you need to use it again, it will connect to their server to update it for another 2 weeks. That way any pirated codes can be blocked on the server level so that they can't use pirated codes. If you are upgrading from Classic BT to BT for OS X, that does need you to buy a new code.
