Hoping that the new version would work better, I just have tried it again. 3 from 4 addresses were "looking bad". And I know that they are right and working. Can you imagine that I was deleting an address, just because this program says so? I have tried with different providers...By the way, my own address is not valid...but I am lucky, I receive around 50 emails every day to this wrong address!

eMail Verifier Reviewit does not work - Version: 2.1, 12/7/2005 03:02PM PST

ISPs block Port 25, including the one I use

The list contains some of the major ISPs that block port 25 on their servers.

I have tried all day emailing the support people, it is way to hard for something that is suppose to save time.

eMail Verifier Developer NotePort 25 blocking - Version: 2.0.1, 11/27/2004 12:56AM PST

eMail Verifier requires your ISP not to block port 25. If you get no response for 5000 entries it is likely the reson. Both the documentation and the FAQ is very clear about that requirement.

This app couldn't verify an email if it got hit in the face with it in bright daylight in cyberspace.

I send out an newsletter each week and this app concluded that all of my 5000 emails are invalid and non-existent.

Good luck to the developer.

eMail Verifier ReviewWould Be Nice... - Version: 2.0, 8/4/2004 10:10AM PST

if it really worked, but I found this app to just go into an endless loop after three retries no matter what email address I gave. And because of the built in rules, any hotmail or aol address just automatically says it's good. It has a nice interface - simple and easy to navigate, but it also lacks simple keyboard control. Example: After typing in an address, you want to hit the Return or Enter key to start the search but no go. You have to hit Apple+K or click Verify to start or Hit ESC to stop a search but you have click the Cancel button.

It's nice idea with a clean interface and has potential, but currently this goes nowhere.

Spammers don't mind if an address is good or not. They only need a spam oriented mailer that can generates random e-mail adresses and send to them. Spammers almost always use a fake sender address so I definitely don't understand why a spammer would lose time using email Verifier to clean a list. This is simply absurd and demostrates how most people have no idea of how Spamming really works. By the way this app is not free and you can be sure people that buy this are not spammer but legitimate companies. This spamming psychosis starts to be really anoying.

eMail Verifier CommentaryAbout Spam... - Version: 1.2, 9/24/2003 09:15AM PST

We did not create eMail Verifier with possible SPAM uses in mind because we think a spammer will never test e-mail addresses to check if they are good or not. Spammers use to send to millions addresses despite they are valid or not. Only a legitimate sender takes care of bad e-mails.

If this is not a spammer tool, then a gun is something to put your finger in instead of your nose.
