VLC media player is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, ...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols.

  • Support for embedding the video in the interface.
  • Better handling of meta info (title, author, description, etc...).
  • Bookmarks support for easier seeking/access inside medias.
  • Improved GOOM visualisation plugin.

  • Faster than realtime stream output (limited by CPU) for the file output.
