HP PSC 700 ReviewHP products are junk and support is terrible - Version: 6.3.6, 11/23/2005 07:25AM PST

Absolute rubbish.

A throw away piece of software for a throw away product.

Pay 250 UK pounds only to find out the product is not supported properly three years later.

I know things have a short shelf life nowadays, but keeping up with OS developments for a few years would be a minimum requirement surely for any product.

No support for Airport Express either.

HP PSC 700 Usage TipHP Documents not supported by this driver. - Version: 6.3.6, 4/1/2004 04:55AM PST

Maggie
I had some work done on my computer. When it came back from the shop, it didn't recognize the printer, so I'm reinstalling. Just downloaded the new 40 meg driver, which is not what I'd used before.

Now that I'm ready to install, I read that HP Documents are not supported by the new driver. Well. I have to install a driver, but I have 2 1/2 years worth of documents stored in that format.

Is there a way to convert?
I guess I can uninstall the new, reinstall the old, hand-convert all files, then reinstall the new. What a chore. No time for that today.

Any ideas?

HP PSC 700 Troubleshooting ReportNo scanning - Version: 6.3.6, 3/25/2004 07:17AM PST

I could do a short try out with this new driver on a fresh installed iBook with OS 10.3.3.
Most of the functions work quick. What I cannot do is scanning. Copying is possible.
Regards, Chris
