I just downloaded this little utility, which hasn't been updated since 2002, and it worked just fine in the current version of Leopard (10.5.7) on my one-year-old iMac. I guess the developer's idea is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." (I'd probably feel the same way if I'd made a freebie too.)

to do what it says and does it well. Simple selection of fields to export (not nearly as cumbersome as others I have seen). Interesting that "Carbon 6 Admin" suggests his program here and chastizes people that suggest other programs in his reviews. His two-faced attitude has kept me from donating towards his efforts. Thanks Gwenhiver for your efforts and keeping it free!
Between the two freeware, "Adddress Book to CSV Exporter", is by far the best. The test seemed to me to be complex entries, with multple phone numbers and email addresses, notes, and custom fields. The older (2002) "Address Book Exporter" never got it right and dropped all kinds of information.
"Adddress Book to CSV Exporter" performed flawlessly on a Gmail import. I could find nothing that it lost. Excellent software, free or otherwise.
And... as if that were not enough... it even has a Klingon mode. Boy, i bet Antonio Lore is a fun date.
