Product Description:

This application allows the user to associate keywords in terms of shape and color and physical location. The ideas can be expanded upon and a complex model built up in a arbitrary way. URL's may be dragged or pasted into the space and they will cross link to other nodes based on the keywords and description held in the html.

The app is particularly intended for note taking during lectures or seminars.

What's new in this version:

  • Tidied up the filtering with a compound predicate and provided bottom bar controls/display for this
  • Fixed URL opening and added a book mark panel in URL panel
  • Hopefully squished issue where Trout sometimes locks when URLs are added.
  • Object manager no longer forced up. Toolbar and menu controls provided
  • Added an RSS reader. Drag and drop items to add them to the node space.
  • Links can display as analog - relative to their key count.
  • Tuned up the recorder and added compression back in. Audio is AAC ,Video is 640x480 MPEG4
  • Various view modifications, nodes can attract all their linked nodes plus others

This app sounds interesting so I thought I'd throw out a few improvements I'd like to see : )

  1. For whatever reason Trout will not remember my preferences. I first noticed this when Trout would not restore the customizations I had made to the toolbar. I fidgeted with preference files, ownership, and permissions all to no avail.
  2. Is there any reason in particular that certain parts of the gui need to be so big? More specifically space munchers like the model window? http://bit.ly/winclod
