PrintMagic lets you select just the text or picture/graphic that you want to print in virtually any program -- anything from a single character to multiple pages. PrintMagic eliminates the need to print an entire page or pages when all that you want are some snippets, words, sentences, or paragraphs.
PrintMagic adds a customizable universal keyboard shortcut to OS X for printing selected text in virtually any program, and this works even when PrintMagic is made invisible.
PrintMagic includes a virtual Desktop Printer that supports drag-and-drop printing.
PrintMagic also lets you save your selections to a closed file -- no more tedious copying and pasting!
PrintMagic lets you add on-the-fly notes to any data that you print.
PrintMagic supports drag-and-drop printing of clipping files.

PrintMagic includes the PrintBoard. The PrintBoard can be used for collecting text and images from across multiple web pages/documents/sources and is an especially powerful aid when you are researching/gathering/organizing information.
The PrintBoard includes tools for changing the fonts and point sizes of your collected data without affecting your source material.
The PrintBoard includes a multiple level Undo/Redo feature.
The PrintBoard lets you -- on the fly -- edit and reorganize your projects before you print them.

What's new in this version:

When printing or saving selections from Safari and FireFox, a URL stamp can automatically be added.
You now have the option of saving the contents of the Clipboard to the closed PrintBoard with a click of your mouse.
You now have the option of saving the contents of the Clipboard to the closed PrintBoard with a customizable keyboard shortcut that works in any program. (Option-Control-s is the default shortcut.)
The PrintBoard now has Find and Find Again functions.
The PrintBoard now has a Print Selection button that lets you print just the data that you want printed.
PrintMagic's Drawer display mode now displays/retracts much more quickly.
PrintMagic's displays now include a Page Setup button.
PrintMagic's displays have been streamlined and simplified -- new functions have been added without increasing the button count.
Many additional refinements have been made to PrintMagic's code, Help systems, and dialog boxes.

Does what it says. An elegant piece of software that makes printing selected text and pics easy. Good to have a date stamp and URL added to the print out. Thanks.

Eliminating Rare NilObjectException Message - Version: 4.0, 7/12/2005 03:52PM PST

Out of all the registered users of PrintMagic 4.0, I've received 2 reports of this error message, and within a couple of hours I was able to provide a solution for them.

To date, not a single user of the demo version has reported a problem -- of any type -- to me. I truly don't understand why a user that experiences a problem would post this info without first at least notifying the developer to verify the program is responsible for the problem and to see if there is a workaround/fix for the issue.

I don't regularly check VT's pages, as user's should be contacting product support to report/verify a problem and to get any existing issue resolved. If BIG77 or anyone else has a problem of any type with PrintMagic, I'd be happy to work with them to quickly resolve it.

Can't review past that since I can't get it to work, though I was unimpressed with the previous incarnations of it: I can just drag and drop into text edit or preview. But willing to give it another shot if I could get that far.
