Cyberduck Usage TipTiger Users Beware - Version: 3.3, 11/15/2009 03:44PM PST

scottkitts1
Users of v3.2.1 and Tiger (v10.4.11) should beware of the auto update function. It will offer, download, and install v3.3 on systems running Tiger, even though v3.3 won't even launch on Tiger. You'll have to re-download and install v3.2.1 to get Cyberduck running again.

Cyberduck Commentarythanks for the software - Version: 3.3b3, 9/29/2009 02:33PM PST

I've used this for a long time. I'm glad to see it supports snow leopard now. It does seem like the beta version hangs for 15 or so seconds on every action. I get the spinning beach ball and then it will work.

After downloading, I double-clicked the Cyberduck-3.3b1zip icon and got the following:

Unable to unarchive "Cyberduck-3.3b.1.zip" into "Desktop".
(Error 1 - Operation not permitted.)

What's next?

Cyberduck ReviewStill doesn't handle invisible files - Version: 3.2, 4/27/2009 04:24AM PST

I'm troubled by the lack of support for invisible files (a la .htaccess). I have to hop into just about *any* other FTP client to access those files, edit them and then go back to Cyberduck which I use for everything else.

When are we fixing this guys??

Cyberduck ReviewWorked fine and is working fine - Version: 3.1.1, 1/10/2009 01:19PM PST

I use it for a long time right now and have never experienced a problem (I trashed another (paid!) FTP client because it didn‘t do its job as Cyberduck does). I need it for both internal as well as external FTP transfers — it satisfies all my needs and is easy to use. For this reason I donated to the developer mid of 2007. He did and does a good job!

Cyberduck ReviewCyberduck is like the old Volkswagen Beatle… - Version: 3.1, 1/8/2009 01:16PM PST

There was a German commercial for the old VW Beatle, many years ago: "Er läuft und läuft und läuft…", which means it's reliable and robust.
The same applys to Cyberduck. I use Cyberduck for more than 5 years now and I had once or twice a crash or misfunction in this long time.
Thats better than any other software I know.
So, five stars all over!

Cyberduck ReviewFaithful but a bit disappointed user - Version: 3.0.3, 11/1/2008 09:11AM PST

I have been a faithful and impressed user of Cyberduck for many years, but the latest updates haven't worked with MacOSX 10.5.x. It simply won't launch. I will jump right back to Cyberduck as soon as this issue is fixed, but until then I have to rely on other software for file transfer. Please make it work soon!
