cantankerous
and worthy 'fee' -- worked well for my needs. thank you!
Easy to use ('though interface instructions stating:
1. Drag files/folders to lower window
2. Select desired find / replace strings
3. Select 'show new names' button
4. Select Rename Now button
Would make it dang near bulletproof without the Readme.
Great package, worked well on 10.2.6

Tagaya YoichiI have these plans about R-Name. I will update this software when I have enough time to do.
- Disable “Rename” button with no files to rename
- Fix the problem with adding files to the list that has already been sorted
- Enable $1, $2 … in regular expression
- Add some new features
- Improve English expression
- Create new icon
- Add UNICEF donators list
- Find someone who helps me with localizations
- Wait Apple to fix the bug about file comment in Cocoa framework
- Look forward to enough time to write the software
- Hope someone to do these things
Actually, I'm using version 3, which isn't even listed in the VersionTracker drop-down. As far as I can tell, the app isn't available for download anywhere any more. Too bad; R-Name was a great alternative to the shareware and other-ware apps. Glad I kept the installer!
