had to delete a kernal extension to remove this. Since performance is sooo slow, and it doesn't work w/ pc formatted floppies, got a usb floppy drive for about $30 at compusa and it works fine w/ my g3 beige. Still giving this 2 stars for their effort.

*works* for Jaguar, It's not worth using. It takes approx 10 mins to mount a disk.....and I've been trying to copy a small text file for 10 mins now and it's still chugging away with no progress shown. It has serious performance issues.
Anybody know how…

to remove this driver? On my beige g3 10.2.3, it takes 3 minutes to mount but never saw the text file I put on the floppy in os9. I only need this to get pics off a Sony DigCamera, which of course uses pc floppies which this driver apparently won't read. Would a usb floppy work for me? Couldn't find any info on the mkLinux site about removing this driver. Since it doesn't show any files on the floppy I have to give it a poor rating, but for at least trying I'll give it two stars.
It's really cool.…

This version can work on my UMAX S900. It's slow, but it works. Great job!! Thank you for the free driver. BTW, does anyone can use CD-RW on your old-powerpc 604e Macs? and does anyone can use Vuescan w/ your old Mac? Thx

me on Jaguar 10.2.2 (the .96j version). It takes about 30-45 seconds to do the initial mount (be patient!) on the beige G3 I'm using, but seems accessible after that. My only complaint is that floppy drive access seems slow, not even addressing the slow mount time, so that's the reason for a four-star review. Great for the money, though! :)

my beige g3, running Jaguar 10.2.2; It takes almost five minutes to load a 1.4M disk. But it is just a start and I think people at www.mklinux.org have been doing what Apple should have done since the first Mac OS X release - that's why I give a "five star".
This isn't new.… - Version: 0.96j, 12/11/2002 06:57AM PST

The .96j release was posted back at the beginning of October. Anyone who's gotten this driver since October and are having problems don't need to bother downloading again, as nothing has changed.

my old 7600 running OS X 10.2.2 but is really, really, really slow. It takes 5 minutes before the disk shows up on the desktop. I hope they continue working on the driver and speed it up in a near future. //Rob

OS 10.2 and OS 9.2.2. This program did not work with OS 10.2. I checked my floopy drive after lauching 9.2.2 and it works. I would love to use this program if the developer can fix it.
