I wouldn't want to live without BK Task Timer today. It's clean, simple and effective. And, BKeeney Software Inc. has been very responsive to every minor issue I have had.
BKeeney keeps working on improving this product, and it works well for me in Panther X 10.3.1 (1.33 Ghz, 17" AlBook).
I'm very close to giving it five stars. However, the user interface is a little slow to respond sometimes. This is something I would like to see addressed as this app continues to evolve.

For a number of years I've been looking for time-tracking software that fits my work environment: interruptions interrupting interruptions. (I work for a Navy IT organization.) I've evaluated about 25 to 30 time-tracking applications and when I recently downloaded and started testing Task Timer 4 it soon replaced the application that I had been getting by with since about 2005. (Up until now I hadn't found anything else I was satisfied with.)
I need to track all my time and when the dust settles I often have to go back and reconstruct the different things I did over large blocks of time. With its Projects and Events views and features like adding, splitting, joining, and duplicating events, Task Timer has made this very easy for me to to do. Its ability to run timers concurrently or only one at a time is nice too.
Its ability to view events for a particular day, month, or even year is very helpful when tracking the history of various issues or projects. The reporting feature is easy to use and, with its filters,is very customizable. This is saving me quite a bit of time on weekly timesheets and dealing with project issues. Along these lines its export features are pretty nice but it took me a little time to to realize that they need to be used via the Reports->Report Manager.
Over all, I found this to be a very enjoyable, intuitive, and easy to use application that I started out just evaluating and found that it became very integral to my workflow before I realized it.
The one problem that I did have was that the Navy does not allow Macs to be connected to its NMCI network so when I attempted to activate Task Timer I ran into the problem of not having an internet connection. I contacted the developer by email yesterday morning and before I left work that evening he had a new version of Task Timer that provided an alternate activation method. That is support that definitely exceeded my expectations.
