Product Description:

MooSB allows you to assign sounds to play automatically when many different events occur. You can specify different sounds for individual USB, FireWire, and PC Card devices, as well Applications, Volumes, CDs, DVDs, and more...

MooSB 2.0 utilizes a plug-in architecture that allows you to install additional Sound Packs as they become available. The standard Sound Pack that is included contains 4 sounds.

What's new in this version:

MooSB now has a built-in Sound Pack locator
Minor tweaks to prepare for Sound Pack SDK release
MooSB now also checks in /Network for Sound Packs
Invalid Sound Packs are properly detected
We have paid to license some new sounds (and released them for free)

It seems software like MooSB and xounds are now both abandonware. In fact for that matter the whole area of custom sounds through third parties is fading with time. Clixsounds, the site famous for custom Mac sound libraries, is no more with no replacement in sight. A sad time indeed! :- (

Works great in Tiger 10.4.8, but only for PowerPC.
It's really great to here a sound when an USB device is plugged in or out, and when a drive mounts.
It's free, and is a good alternative to Xounds (which is not free), even if there are less features.

Do you plan to make a Macintel Version ?
