The perfect solution for physics students and teachers everywhere, Physics 101 SE is the premier physics calculation tool, allowing you to focus on physics and not mathematical busywork. With its ability to instantly solve for almost any variable in over 55 of the most commonly used physics formulas, , and the ability to solve for variables within most of those formulas. These formulas are organized in sections of Kinematics, Vectors, Work, Energy, Gravitation, Center of Mass, Projectiles, Dynamics, thermodynamics and modern Physics formulas. Physics 101 SE includes ProjectileX, the most powerful and easy-to-use projectile motion simulator available to students today. Specifically designed to provide the information that you need to know about a projectile in flight, whether it is an ideal motion projectile or one affected by linear air drag, ProjectileX quickly calculates every detail of its trajectory at the click of a mouse. With the built-in Circuit Analysis, you can simulate working with a simple electrical circuit without having to deal with actual electrical components. Build a virtual series-parallel circuit with up to 18 resistors, with voltage sources of either polarity placed anywhere in the branches. Once the circuit is constructed, you can find the voltage, current, and power of each resistor. If desired, place ammeters into the circuit to read currents at various places. Circuit Analysis also has a resistor color band calculator to find the resistance of color-coded resistors. With Motion Analysis, you can enter an object's acceleration, initial velocity and time, and Motion Analysis will instantly graph position versus time and velocity versus time for its movement. Drag your mouse over the graph, and the time, position, and/or velocity will be shown in real time corresponding to the horizontal position of the cursor. Motion Analysis supports up to four different objects in motion, so that you can quickly compare different accelerations and velocity at a corresponding time with a single click. You can then click the "Data Tables" tab to see the various data for each object at any time you need. Since physics formulas have to be combined, substituted, derived, and integrated in infinite ways to solve physics problems, it can sometimes be difficult to figure out even how to begin solving them. With a quick glance at Physics 101 SE's formula guides, which show many of the commonly-used physics formulas and their isolated variables, you'll see new ways of approaching difficult physics problems. Physics 101 SE even includes a handy unit converter, which will quickly convert a measurement that you enter into other common units of measurement.
What's new in this version:
Augmented Projectile simulator to include local linear drag, data tables and in-application help guide explaining the mathematics used
Kinematics motion analysis that shows a particle under velocity and or acceleration in a position vs time and a velocity vs time graph. Also includes data tables with a time function
Unit converter that converts to analagous units and contains planetary data tables to complement the gravity section
Includes formula guides on Kinematics, vectors, work, energy, gravitation, center of mass, and electricity. These guides show the formulas and their derived counterparts.
Added a formula index so a user can quickly view formulas per topic
Added three more formulas to the dynamics tab
Streamlined the vectors tab
Improved the formula graphics

If you use physics at all and want a comprehensive and effective tool for doing your calculations this is the one. No high school (or even college) physics student should be without it. I've spent who knows how much time trying to think of a formula that I would need that isn't in the prgram and just can't, and in the event that I did (or anyone else for that matter) its only a matter of a request to the developer to find it in the next update. Version 5 is no exception, and better then ever. Excellent work, and kudos to the developer. Worth every penny for students.
i cant believe that someone took the time to create such a flexible and comprehensive piece of software. this set of tools is simply indespensible to a new college engineering student, and with the addition of the periodic table it just became even more useful. pay the money and smile that you still got a steal! great job by the developer!
On September of last year I submitted a negative feedback about this program. After the major update of physics 4.0 I have been late in submitting a positive feedback. This is a great program. It is so useful. Not only to high school students but to anybody who needs physics. Thanks to the developer for a great software.
