Product Description:

The Camino Project has worked to create a browser that is as functional and elegant as the computers it runs on. The Camino web browser is powerful, secure, and ready to meet the needs of all users while remaining simple and elegant in its design.

Camino combines the awesome visual and behavioral experience that has been central to the Macintosh philosophy with the powerful web-browsing capabilities of the Gecko rendering engine. Built and tested by thousands of volunteers, Mozilla’s Gecko brings cutting-edge innovations and capabilities to users in a standards-friendly and socially responsible form.

What's new in this version:

Privacy & Security: Camino now warns users if the login form on a website differs from the form used when saving the password, and Camino 1.1 Beta also supports Kerberos authentication used in many internal networks. Annoyance Blocking: Camino 1.1 Beta can now disable all plugins. This version also includes the ability to block Flash animations until the user clicks on them. Session Saving: Camino can now restore tabs and windows that were open before an unexpected quit, and there is also a preference to save a list of all active tabs and windows when the user quits and restore them when launching Camino again. In addition, Camino 1.1 Beta includes the following notable bug fixes over Camino 1.1 Alpha 2.

Spell-checking: “Learn Spellingâ€ and “Ignore Spellingâ€ now appear in the spell-check context menu. Downloading Files: Camino no longer hangs when downloading files to the Desktop with Quicksilver running. Pop-up Blocking: Camino 1.1b introduces a new set of options for blocking pop-up windows, allowing users to “Always Allow,â€ “Always Deny,â€ “Allow Once,â€ or simply close the pop-up notification. In addition, the close button on the pop-up blocker is more visible, and the Web Features preference pane now allows users manually to allow or prevent sites from showing pop-up windows.

since uploading to this version i am unable to log in to my igoogle page and show the portal for my gmail or calendar. the screen says i have to re-enter my password, even though i can see my username at the top of the screen (which indicates i AM logged in). clicking the "Re-enter password" link freezes the computer and i can't open any other app until i do a hard re-start. Is this a conflict between Camino 2 and iGoogle?

Unlike previous versions, Camino 2.0 doesn't run smoothly on a G4 machine. Rendering is slower & bumpier and browser crashes happen more often. I'm forced to downgrade..
