Product Description:

Camino is a new project aimed at delivering a best-of-breed browser on the OS X platform. Camino uses Cocoazilla, a variant of Fizzilla that consists of a UNIX back end wed to a Cocoa front end. The cross-platform UI will be replaced with native Cocoa widgetry (such as customizable toolbars and a drawer for the sidebar). The plan is to produce only a browser (no other apps!), and to keep the UI as simple and as clean as possible.

New Download Manager, with auto-download and auto-dispatch.
Compatible with URL Manager Pro
Page Text Encodings menu
Global History in the sidebar
Send Link menu item, and other new toolbar buttons
Dragging of images and links to the desktop, and other applications
Support for Shockwave Directory content
Uses Rendezvous to show local FTP and web servers
Supports Proxy Auto-config

I simply love camino. It's fast and simple. There's none nonsense and ballast like you get with Safari 4. The idea behind Camino is NOT to have a feature for every feature that uses a feature to get a feature for another feature. And that's it.

Crash everytime I launched an adress !! Never saw that since years now that I'm using Camino...
Back to 1.6, no problem anymore...

No private browsing, cookies have to be deleted manually in the preferences. Forget about it!
