Tried this a few times and it always lock my iPod. I have to reset my iPod every time.
No problems with iTunes. So I am guessing this a bug.

After using this product in trial mode, everything was messed up. I was hoping for identical copies of my iTunes library on my Mac, my iPod and my second Mac (which I use as a media player) . Instead I got duplicates and triplicates of music files on the second Mac, the library on my iPod was synched to the second Mac and refused to synch with the primary Mac. I had to do a full restore of the iPod and the iTunes library on the second Mac. Several hours lost.
Stay away from this program.

I had used version 2 and it worked great when I lost a hard drive. I really didn't use it for regular syncing though. Of course years later I had another need for it. I also had lost my registration number. The developer responded with my registration information in less than 4 hours on a Sunday. That is what I call great support from a product that does its job very well.

iPod.iTunes CommentaryA Godsend - Version: 4.0.8, 8/29/2008 11:35AM PST

Did its job perfectly, enabling me to recover cds from my ipod rather than having to rip them over again, and also let me recover songs I'd downloaded years ago from a now defunct web site.

iPod.iTunes ReviewVersion 4 is great. I've bought and used it since 2002 - Version: 4.0.7, 7/30/2008 09:03AM PST

Yeah, I have one of the first 500 original iPods and tried a couple of pod tools before sticking with this for over 6 years. Now I'm onto my 3 personal ipod and wouldn't consider using the std iTunes Sync to organize the variety of Macs I use at home and work..

iPod.iTunes keeps getting better and allows control that my iTunes just gets in the way of without wasting company Macs disk and backup.
Been through G3,G4,G5, MacIntels, desktop and portables. With over 36,000 songs, audiobooks, podcasts, it takes a while to grind through the several dozen playlists that I keep centralized on my home central server.

I always wait until its updated before considering an iTunes upgrade because its become a utility that makes the base iTunes more valuable.

iPod.iTunes ReviewVery pleased - Version: 4.0.5, 7/2/2008 12:27PM PST

My hard drive crashed a few days ago and iPod.iTunes allowed me to successfully restore the contents of my iPod to my iTunes library. I am very happy that I don't have to spend hours of time re-copying CD's and re-downloading my audiobooks. I found the product to be easy to use and well worth the $40 US cost.

iPod.iTunes ReviewThis is the best! It saved my life! - Version: 4.0.4, 6/15/2008 11:22PM PST

For some reason I lost my iTunes library.
By chance my classic iPod had everything on it.
I tried all the software to recover my library (I still had the files on my Mac BUT I wanted to recover everything that makes great an iTunes library: notations, last played, number of times played...)

AND NOT any program worked as advertised!

UNTIL I found iPod.iTunes that is!
This great program recovered all my library from my iPod to my iTunes!!!

So this is THE BEST!

Do not use this product! In the middle of syncing iTunes with my iPod, iTunes could no longer recognize my iPod. Some songs appeared to have been copied to iTunes, but the majority of these files were corrupted and my iPod had to be restored to manufacturer settings.

I am really disappointed.
