Resize! ReviewJust what I was looking for - Version: 1.4.2, 3/31/2007 10:28AM PST

This is a nice little app! It does what it claims, and does it pretty well. I was looking for a simple, free batch resizer app because The Gimp takes too long to launch and then individually scale and close several images on my 400 MHz G3. Resize! makes it easy to shrink digital photos to make them a more appropriate size for attaching to an e-mail.

Props for the wide range of OS compatibility, too! Not many apps still run on Mac OS 8 and yet also run under the latest OS. This app runs great on my G3 running Tiger 10.4.9.

Resize! Usage TipRAM Hog! - Version: 1.4.2, 2/25/2005 04:28PM PST

I use it for OS9. With it's original RAM settings, it quit with a Type 2 error when trying to downsize 7 images (3 megapixels ea.) in a folder. I cranked it up to 30 Meg, and it successfully downsized only 4 of the 7. I then cranked it up to 50 Meg and it did all 7.

Resize! CommentaryDoesn't retain metadata - Version: 1.4.2, 1/4/2005 02:23AM PST

jcherfas_dotmac
Nice clean program ... but I will not be using it because it does not retain metadata. My images have metadata inserted as IPTC tags and XMP and I need those to stay with the images. Shame, because other than that Resize looks good.
