Product Description:

PresentMovie plays QuickTime compatible movies (.mov, .mpg, or VCDs) stretched to fit the full screen. Either drag one or more movies (or VCD) to PresentMovie and they will be played or place PresentMovie in a folder of movies and launch it to view the movies. The main reason I wrote PresentMovie was to allow my children to easily view QT movies without having to go through the multiple steps required in QuickTime Player Pro. (cmd-O to open movie, cmd-M to present movie, select Full Screen with mouse, click OK)

What's new in this version:

  • Digest Mode - press D during movie
  • More preference settings, press ; during movie
  • plays video in background, with mute/lower volume, ful volume, 2nd monitor, etc... see new prefs settings!

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

PresentMovie ReviewThis is one great application - Version: 1.5b1, 2/25/2004 08:06PM PST

trombetta_dotmac
I've used the previous version since it was released and this thing is stable, reliable and more intuitive than any others I've tried. I've downloaded many apps in it's "price range" all along (as I checked VT for an update of this). Several have come and gone, but PresentMovie has always been there when I needed it. As I downloaded this new version, I searched and found that I had about 7 copies in different folders, so I could just go to the folder and click on the copy's icon. Now that is cool. Sometimes I think it would be helpful if it played nice with .mpeg file extensions (like QT itself does...I don't know much about it...maybe that's an incorrect extesion to begin with)...although change those extensions to .mpg and you're back in business. Outstanding job on this one friend!

PresentMovie ReviewGreat work, this… - Version: 1.4, 11/30/2002 05:49PM PST

is an awesome app. And it's free! One suggestion would be to add regular 'VCR style' controls so that you could 'rewind' or 'fast forward' as if you were watching a VHS or DVD. Keep up the great work!

PresentMovie ReviewSimply perfect. Plays… - Version: 1.4, 10/19/2002 04:46PM PST

smooth. I was on the way to burn DivX movies to DVD to play them fullscreen and controllable. Shame on me. Shame on Apple that this really great app isn't part of the "digital hub?!". Shame on Keyspan that this isn't bundled with the DMR remote control.
