What I would like to see in this or any other units converter is a means for entering arbitrary conversions, even if it means editing a plist or something. Linear conversions should be trivial to do this way, by entering slope and intercept numbers: y=mx+b.

Non-linear conversions would require a scripting language, but something like the open-source FScript could be embedded pretty simply.

Paid in October 2007 $10.00 license fee for version 6.7. Version 7.0 requires a new license fee of $10.00. This ends up to $20.00 in less than one year for the use of this app.
Will stick with version 6.7.

Lord of the rings
The Oxford dictionary defines ergonomics as: study of work and its environment and conditions in order to achieve maximum efficiency.
MConvert was especially designed with ergonomics in mind plus including the vast amount of information, MConvert is providing. It would be simply impossible to display all data of all groups in one window!
The display in MacVerter is not ergonomic but simple, besides it costs $15 whereas MConvert is free, converts a multitude of data - including currencies - and runs on OS X.

It's like developers keep trying to reinvent a wheel that's already been perfected....sigh.....

There seems to be a problem updating the currencies online. Until a fixed update is published this should help:

Delete the MConvert preferences in user:Library:Preferences and the update should be fine.
