AFS Monitor ReviewMalware! - Version: 1.0.2, 5/8/2006 12:17PM PST

No description of what it actually does, and no trying it out until I send $5, and it disables my logs without asking? Then it recommends some other software to fix its damage??

Worse than useless, it is malware in my book.

Please remove this, it has cost me time already

As "shareware" this fails miserably; it's not try before you buy. Requires you to buy a license to see what it does. Then to add a touch of sadism, it disables AFS logging, tells you to get Sharepoints or manual edit the plist to re-enable.

Worse, it actually appears to have turned off AFS altogether, not just logging, as I found when trying to access this system later on from another Mac. Easy enough to turn it back on, but my Dad sure wouldn't find it easy if this happpened on his Mac. Don't know whether this is clumsy programming or an attempt to extort money, but I'll avoid this product and Sharepoints from now on.

Cancel, it lets you try out the program. I'll fix that up to say Try It instead of Cancel. As far as needing SharePoints, that is to easily enable the AppleFileServer logging function. Logging can also be enabled by using the NetInfo Manager. SharePoints, btw, is donation-ware.
