Big Clock is by most counts an unpolished application that could use some work. It pales in comparison to most alarm clock apps for the Mac. But you know why I use it, in spite of that?
1) It's free
2) It's quite simple. One can set it when they're tired!
3) It's got an awesome default alarm sound that seems to be a combination between a yelp and a beep that does a good job at waking me up.
One bug, though: it doesn't seem to remember to loop the sound in the prefernces if I have that selected.

I installed 2.7 into OS 10.2.8 without implementing classic. What I wanted was a large screen clock I could from across the room when I am not using the computer. This does the job and it's free. How good is that.
The only thing that this great little app needs is the ability to wake the computer from sleep mode to trigger the alarm. Usually when most people go to sleep, so do their computers. This app has a teriffic alarm that even plays any song you want from your iTines music library for your alram sound, but it won't trigger the alarm if the computer is in sleep mode. It will "wake" you up as long as your computer is already awake. Ironic, huh ! If it could do that, then this little app would be just about perfect.
