Big Clock X ReviewGreat Little App ! - Version: 2.7, 1/18/2006 11:42PM PST

Polar11
Let us remember the primary reason this teriffic little app was created, and that is to give us a *BIG* clock on our computer screens. That's it. And it does the job beautifully. And it's FREE ! The other features such as an alarm that integrates with iTunes are a BONUS. Cool.

The only thing that this great little app needs is the ability to wake the computer from sleep mode to trigger the alarm. Usually when most people go to sleep, so do their computers. This app has a teriffic alarm that even plays any song you want from your iTines music library for your alram sound, but it won't trigger the alarm if the computer is in sleep mode. It will "wake" you up as long as your computer is already awake. Ironic, huh ! If it could do that, then this little app would be just about perfect.

Big Clock X ReviewI like it for one reason - Version: 2.7, 3/12/2004 10:27PM PST

Big Clock is by most counts an unpolished application that could use some work. It pales in comparison to most alarm clock apps for the Mac. But you know why I use it, in spite of that?
1) It's free
2) It's quite simple. One can set it when they're tired!
3) It's got an awesome default alarm sound that seems to be a combination between a yelp and a beep that does a good job at waking me up.

One bug, though: it doesn't seem to remember to loop the sound in the prefernces if I have that selected.

Big Clock X ReviewDoes it's job - Version: 2.7, 1/28/2004 05:26AM PST

I installed 2.7 into OS 10.2.8 without implementing classic. What I wanted was a large screen clock I could from across the room when I am not using the computer. This does the job and it's free. How good is that.
