mine set as a Login item that automatically hides, so I never deal with the preferences window. But whenever I logout and my apps all quit, I get a message saying "DockTemp 1.01 OSX has unexpectedly quit." This program could use an overhaul. Start out by moving the Preferences from Window to the standard DockTemp 1.01 OSX menu.

great software except that it cuts off the name of my town in the dock and when you quit it doesnt save your information so you have to put n your city name and tell it to show farenheit every time you open this stupid app.

what it says, but little else. I don't like that it allows neither font nor color customization--there's black and red, and the font is set. The app will display temperature as a floating window, but it would be nice to have the option to display temperature next to the time in the menubar. There's lots of room for improvement, here's to hoping that DockTemp matures into a highly customizable utility. I'll be donating a few bucks when I can display temperature in the menubar along with other .menu icons and the time. As for the previously noted RAM usage, on 10.2.1 it uses a surprising 83.1 MB of RAM, but RAM usage compares favorably to other simple "monitoring" apps; CPU Monitor uses only 76 MB, PTH Clock uses 73.1 MB, Classic Spy menu uses 68.1 MB, and Netmonitor uses 79.9. And since the memory space is swapped to the HD, it shouldn't affect system performance or other apps.
