Product Description:

Complete Description: Sonogram has been programmed at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (Deutsches Forschungszentrum fuer Kuenstliche Intelligenz DFKI, www.dfki.de), and is a tool to analyze speech and sound signals with methods of the:

Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT)
Linear Predictive Coding (LPC)
Wavelet Transformation
cepstral analysis
Autokorrelation
Pitch Detection

The Tool is mostly used in speech recognition, from Sound Engineers and bird vocal researchers. Sonogram is only free for non comercial and research purposes.

Go to the sourceforge page to download the latest version (2.80), the one here is old. This application is excellent. Despite the lacking interface, it delivers in functionality and you can't beat the price.

I used this to analyze some bird calls I had recorded. I was able to SEE family differences that I couldn't HEAR. I could actually tell which offspring came from what parents. Thanks for the interesting software!
