Within minutes of a request posted to Softhing I received direction to a beta version of EEAX that works with Entourage Web Services Edition. Downloaded in seconds and tried it. Works great. This is an invaluable application I highly recommend. Great service, too.

As a hotel development manager, I get thousands of emails each month that I need to archive (with their attachments) on a regular basis and retrieve, once in a while! I am using eeax since several years, but have recently discovered how easy it is to use it with FileMaker, thus making retrieving the easiest thing in the world!

Entourage Email Archive X is a superb application for archiving my email - fast and efficient. Initially I ran into one issue due to the method I used in archiving my email backups that prevented EEAX from operating properly. Softhing support immediately to assist and provided precise guidance rectifying the problem.

I sent some emails to support asking for help. No response yet, but maybe I'm rushing it. I'm falling behind on work because I got involved with this thing. They definitely need support forums!
It seemed to work great. But then I processed almost 30,000 messages and EEAX didn't like moving all of them to the trash. So I've been making backups of my database before running EEAX to restore things. I set a filter to process a year's worth instead and that seemed to work.
But then I started over again because I wanted to try the FM database. I processed about 20,000 messages and worked great. But then again, I can't move them to the trash because it crashes with another Finder error (which I cannot find right now). I left all messages where the were in the database.
So then I wanted to have the Folder Archive as well. So I ran it and got the the "Finder got an error: AppleEvent timed out. (-1712)" error. Sometimes it freezes the Finder too. Now it will not run for Text, Tab-Text nor Archive Folders. I have even set it to search only one folder of 20 messages. Same error. Basically, it's dead.
Can anyone offer some advise? Should I reinstall?

I was having problems with the app. *All user-error... DOH! The developer made all efforts to contact me. AND... using iChat, manually demonstrated every part of the app. He even gave me tips on how to best use the app.

As a lawyer with thousands of emails each month that I need to archive (with their attachments) on a regular basis, I've used this product for several years. The latest version is the best yet - works great and quickly for me. The results can be imported into a database for enhanced searching (I use devonthink pro), if you want more detail than spotlight provides. It's also dead simple to drag emails back to entourage if you want to restore a message.
Over the years, I've had a few questions, and the softhing guys and gals have responded very quickly and pleasantly. All-in-all I've been extremely satisfied.

This is an excellent program that will allow you to reduce the size of your bloated Entourage email database. In my experience it works flawlessly. Using the FileMaker Pro template I am able to much more thoroughly search my archived database and it allows me to drag and drop those archived emails, with attachments, back into Entourage easily if I need them there again. I can archive several different mails boxes to different archive databases or to the same archive database. I found the manual straightforward but it did not answer many of my ‘what if’ questions or totally explain the advantages or disadvantages of some of the choices. And although I watched the video several times I did not fully understand it or the importance of it. In hindsight it shows you exactly what to do. However tech-support is the best I have ever encountered in 19 years of dealing with computer software support. They responded within a reasonable amount of time to my email and when my questions got complicated they setup a chat with me and hung in there until I was totally comfortable.

Instead of selecting "Entourage" in first dialog, select "POP". Then all local folders are displayed and can be backed up.
