Very confusing product…

line. Not sure what package is "Pro" as opposed to some crippled version of the main package. It appears that "Peak" plain is the pro package and all others are cripple-ware. The product line should be structured so this is clear... so we can tell if Peak can do all that Peak DV and Peak LE does... and if Peak DV does all that Peak LE does and more. Whisky Tango Foxtrot, Over!
Peak is fantastic…

for editing sound. For doing time stretching and normalizing digitized tape recordings, there is no better or faster program. For quickly editing MP3s and getting rid of noise, Amadeus II is far better and costs only $35. Spark is as good in features as Peak but is much slower in time stretching functions. For actual recording of stereo, Audiocorder X is better than Peak because it will automatically break up the recording into separate tracks using criteria you set. This is great for digitizing tapes or records or recording radio. You can also set the price you want to pay for it. I paid $10.
Peak really really…

really really really needs options for (micro-) editing using the keyboard... Even simple shift-select, scroll, cut, copy, paste is impossible without using a mouse. This lack of keyboard control (and many other interface shortcommings) makes it kind of a toy app.
