Product Description:

Cheap-o-Scope is a free, open-source tool that converts Quicktime movies into Adobe Filmstrip format files and vice versa. Filmstrip files can be edited in many image editing programs such as Photoshop, allowing users of video-editing packages such as iMovie which don't have built-in support for the FilmStrip file format to do rotoscoping and animation work without having to incur the expense of a program like Adobe Premiere

What's new in this version:

Added binding to Quicktime movies with Creator codes. Previous version was bound only by extension and didn't work with those whose type was auto-changed by Quicktime. No code changes. I also used compression on the disk image for a smaller download.

Can't tell you how long I've been looking for a way to do what this neat little app lets me do to my clips after Cheap-o-Scope it does its thing to 'em.

Just tried a really basic .mov track downloaded from apple and Cheap-o-scope worked as expectede. The .flm file happily opened in PS Elements 2 and converted back to .mov. Yo do nooed to keep the orginal movie file to extract the audio from.
Thanks to the developer for supporting freeware.
