Product Description:

Mac Notepad is a Mac OS X note pad program in which you can paste and copy any piece of text you may want to have at hand everyday.
Mac Notepad is designed from the ground up to support the latest Apple technologies and provides everything you need to be more productive in your work with your Mac.
Mac Notepad lets you save and organize any piece of text you may want to have at hand: you can paste it in, drag it from other applications, drop it as a text file from the Finder or, of course, write it yourself.
A title and a category can be assigned to each note; notes can be easily retrieved by category via a popup menu, or by content simply typing the text to be found in a search field.
A handy recents menu will furthermore keep track of the last edited notes. Notes can be edited at will: different fonts, styles and colors are all available for text inside a note and, if you need it on paper, you can print it too.
The Password check button lets you protect your personal notes with a password. If this option is selected, at the opening of Mac Notepad a password dialog box will be displayed. To gain access to the notes it will be necessary to enter the correct password. Mac Notepad gives you two search options: Easy Search and Regular Expression.

What's new in this version:

User interface improvements. New Back and Forward button to navigate notes previously visited. New History window to navigate notes previously visited. New live search for the notes. Various code optimizations. Fix for the disappearing cursor when typing and for the crash on forward-delete key combination. Fixed all reported bugs. Leopard optimization.

Mac Notepad CommentaryTry "Notes" - Version: '08, 5/13/2008 04:08AM PST

If you're looking for a simple notepad try "Notes" - not easy to find with such a basic name: it's at <www.ayanamichan.com/richard/notes/> or <http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/9605> . Simple, small (about 300 K instead of Mac Notepad's 24 Meg), seems to do pretty much anything Mac Notepad does and then some. And it's free.

Mac Notepad CommentaryI don't think so... - Version: 4.4, 6/20/2007 11:01AM PST

24 megs for a notepad? Please. And, it'll only handle text, at that.

The developer would have to point a gun at me to get $20.00 for this thing.

There are tons of free solutions to this kind of need.

Mac Notepad ReviewNo Clip Art Support - Version: 3.2, 4/6/2007 05:00PM PST

I use Fishpad right now as it does everything including clipart and website grabs using the Mac snap shot key strokes. Unfortunately, the author of this fine software (FishPad) is nowhere to be found for any upgrades. I downloaded and tried the orignal version of Notepad months ago and it sucked as it was full of bugs. The New version appears more stable and has a nice interface and organization, but still it cannot accept clipart or graphics as some of the other do including the original mac notepad. I'll wait unit it does before I send them any money. Also, I couldn't find away to send the company any email to ask questions. Clipart and website website pics will make it a keeper, but not now.
