Product Description:

iMsafe backs up data stored on any mounted OS X volume (such as your HD) to any mounted OS X volume (e.g. HD, removable HD, Zip, network volume, iPod). Backups can be run from within iMsafe or they can be scheduled to occur every day, on weekdays or on specific days. And with the scheduling function, you don't have to be logged in or running iMsafe in order to run backups.

With iMsafe you can run incremental backups, featuring the possibility to transfer only the differences in the files at both side. File permissions and modification dates can be preserved. When scheduling a backup to another Mac on the network, iMsafe can automatically connect to that Mac before starting the backup. The dock icon will inform you about your backup status. Real-world test have shown that iMsafe is very easy-to-use: even novice users will be running backups within minutes.

iMsafe CommentaryDead duck - Version: 2.0b11, 8/1/2006 03:22PM PST

iMsafe is now nothing but a dead duck. It's been in beta for over a year now, most likely much longer. This is totally ridiculous. The product showed some promise, but how long do we, REGISTERED users, have to wait for the new, totally stable, non-beta version? At this point I consider the developer to be very irresponsible. No schedule, no updates, no info pertaing to when we could expect full version to be availble. To say that I feel cheated after having paid the registration fee would be to put it very mildly. Time to switch to ChronoSynch, or another reliable application offered and serviced by PROFESSIONAL developers. I strongly warn every one about iMsafe - do not waste your time and money on this one!

iMsafe ReviewWorks well--especially for synching - Version: 2.0b11, 10/10/2005 07:12PM PST

I'm not sure what some of the other people who posted here were doing with their copies of IMSafe that caused problems for them, but it does exactly what I need it to do without crashing, causing any problems, or having any issues with permissions. I use it now to sync a frequently-used folder between my Powerbook, .mac account (iDisk), and desktop. Works flawlessly, updating only the files that have changes to keep my computers synced without having to connect them. Extremely easy to use and seems stable (although keep in mind it's a beta). So far I'm very pleased and highly recommend the program, espcially for synching files/folders.
