Product Description:

Philatelica is a shareware database solution, designed to organise and keep track of your stamp collection. Philatelica allows you to browse, search and sort information about your stamps, such as Issue Name, Reference Codes, Country, Year, Type, Condition, Printing Method, as well as Price Guide, Price Paid, Estimated Value and many more. It also allows you to import scanned images in .jpeg or .gif format, which you can view and print from within the application. It can also keep track the price of each stamp and value of your entire collection. Extremely intuitive and easy to use, Philatelica also features elegant printouts for single stamps and listings of your collection.

What's new in this version:

Automatic import and export scripts in order to simplify this and future upgrades.
Improvements in the user interface by making all the screens and graphic elements more consistent throughout the application.
Replaced the "Editor" tab with a more logical "Stamps" tab.
There's a new "Gum" field, and the "Condition" field now has three preset options: "Mint", "Hinged" and "Used". This makes data entry much faster.

I purchased this software from Splitcube (Jesse Mazzo) and began to using it right away. This is a simple runtime application that was generated from a old version of Filemaker Developer. That is not a bad thing. The interface is OK. But you can tell that Jesse is no stamp collector. The biggest defect it has is that in the list view the catlaog number field is too small to hold a four digit catalog number so that when you view the list all that shows up in that field is a question mark (?) rendering the program substantially less useful that it could have been. I have request support from Splitcube about five times and the developer has never responded to my request. Save your money this software stinks!!!!
