MacXword ReviewNicely done -- and a few suggestions - Version: 1.2.0, 8/17/2004 09:01AM PST

Overall very nice program. Everyone will want somewhat different UI conventions, but here are a few small UI changes that I think would improve the interface a bit. One, it would be great if moving the "cursor" with the cursor keys did not (or at least did not have to) change the direction being highlighted. I would like to be able to use a different key (like the space bar) to switch directions and leave the curson keys just to move the current square. Two, the clue in the drawer that corresponds to the selected word in the table should be highlighted more prominantly than the clue going the other direction. Neither of these issues is that serious, but right now I find the navigation a bit awkward. But still, the ability to download puzzles is great -- well worth the money!

MacXword ReviewYes! Now I… - Version: 0.9.0b1, 4/15/2002 11:20PM PST

can grab and print the NY Times crossword without waiting for Classic to load. MacXWord Installs with no glitches at all. And those impressive outsize fonts! Tiny problem. Printing my puzzle cut off the bottom row of clues. A suggestion for the next version. Print the clues in a larger font, or give me an option.
