What's new in this version:

a change in 5.7.2 caused the roll-outs not to work. Okay now
made a change that reduced the background cpu usage significantly.
the cubes were not always displayed 100% correctly. Okay now
now have 2 versions: OSX and OS9 versions. they appear about the same but the OSX version won't work in OS9.
works with Leopard and Intel Macs!

I consider myself a pretty good backgammon player, played many years in tournaments and with hi regarded players.
I've been using this app for 8 or 9 years and have nothing but praise for it.
Great support, David is always on top of everything with quick response for any question.
I highly recommend.

I have paid for 2 other Backgammon Games for the Mac. Both were sold as software at the Eugene Mac Store.

Both were high gloss graphics fancy games that really were all packaging and no depth of play or feature set. They were the equivalent of the kind of pretty girl who is a clothes-hanger and "all haircut".

David's Backgammon, which I have used since Mac OS 9, maybe even mac OS 7, (I can't recall all that far back!), is a game for the gal or guy who wants a well rounded game that's all about the game.

I've had registered versions of this game on both Mac and PC for many years and still I'm addicted.
Several reviewers complain that they don't win as much as they would like; I feel they should grow up and accept that life's not always fair! Just learn to play better!!
It works on OS X 10.2 as well as those listed in Versiontracker, by the way.
