point of TOM, rcfa, but it hasn't been updated since late 2001 and it would appear that tiggr gave up the project. Are you sure that it's still under development?

SmallTalk is great, but it's a language of the 80s. Java is a step backwards from there, ObjC makes some compromises to be compatible with ANSI-C and C++. If you want to look at where SmallTalk concepts are actually enhanced and expanded, look at the TOM programming language: http://www.gerbil.org/tom/

progammer (ViaVoice, Only Mortal and SafeDisc) I find this of interest. Smalltalk is the foundation of languages like Obj-C and Java but I know sod all about it. I ought to spend some time looking into it as I need something more than Obj-C and Java can offer.
