Product Description:

Impasse is a Firewall for Mac OS X.1 written with two design goals: ease of use and intelligence. To that end, Impasse runs in your System Preferences and tries to automatically detect the optimal settings for the services you are running. Impasse has an easy mode for the novice user, who doesn't care to learn about firewall rules, and an advanced mode for the user who wants to configure the firewall to his/her liking.

Totally unstable under Panther... crashes the PrefPane regularly. Run this at your own risk. I'm surprised that no update has been released for almost a year, probably the product is not supported anymore?

installing,...and pref pane crashed,...well i continued, and opened pref pane,...
easy to create params, it's really clear, easy to create rules etc...

But, from time to time, when openning pref pane, this one quits...after some of this quits, impossible to acces the impasse pref pane, i had to uninstall.

It was looking good, easy to install and to param, it could really be a great app.
