Product Description:

This is the software which converts an AC-3 file being used for the sound of DVD-Video into an AIFF file. I ported a52dec by Mr. Michel Lespinasse and Mr. Aaron Holtzman to Mac OS X, and added AIFF output function. mp3 output became possible by building in LAME.

is there an easy way to tell which VOB file has which track/chapter from a DVD movie? Like if I'm looking for a certain dialogue scene to encode....

a52decX ReviewThe English manual… - Version: 0.24, 6/6/2002 08:13AM PST

(which was apparently translated from Japanese) could use some clearing up.... The instructions were vague at best, and I felt as if I was making a "blind leap" when I first used the program. (If I could read Japanese, I would volunteer to re-translate it) Fortunately, its operation is pretty straight-forward, and it worked for me as advertised on the first try. Quite useful, if not too user-friendly. (But anybody who is geeky enough to want and need this type of app should be able to figure it out on the first try like I have, I say. ;) Many thanks to Tokunaga-san. m(_ _)m
