Product Description:

MediaPipe is a flexible framework that allows you to edit pipelines to process virtually any type of media. It uses pipes (for which a SDK is available) to decode, transform, encode and even stream audio or video.

What's new in this version:

Although the core has not been touched, there are many improvements on the pipe side:
  • The MPEGDemuxer has been greatly improved
  • New XViDDecoder and XViDEncoder (with support for 2 pass VBR encoding)
  • MPEGDecoder is slightly faster (now based on libmpeg2 instead of ffmpeg)
  • MPEG video is now processed directly in YUV color space

This is the second release of MediaPipe0.8.9 and it fixes some minor incompatibilities with the AAC, the XViD pipes and MacOSX 10.2

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.1
  • Mac OS X 10.0

...using it makes me think I'm using a Windows DOS application on Panther! Pure genius!

I tried using this app a few times to convert video files and audio files to different formats, and sometimes with much fussing and re-running it worked. Problem is, I want to SEE how my cropping looks before spending 5+ hours converting video. Video conversion with no GUI or video display seems downright absurd on a modern computer.

No updates for three years? Looks like a dead program. Nothing to see here, move along....

most slipshod software I have ever used. When it's not crashing or refusing to open, the pipes freeze, yield arcane errors, etc. And to think this is the only thing on the Mac that even attempts to approach VirtualDub.
