This was a great product that seems to have been left to die. Two years later I still haven't seen anything better, and it's a shame the developer is MIA.

Even though this program crashes every time I use it, I'll give it 5 stars, it is that good, it's worth putting up with the bugs.

it could be better. Slow to scan images on launch -- I get the spinning beach ball for 30-40 seconds. Occasionally crashes on quit.(10.2.3) Would be nice if you could have drawers for folder hierarchy on left side (instead of the collumn as it is now), and thumbnailed previews on the right (like Preview or Picture Deamon). Add the speed of Picture Deamon, the effects of Goldberg (QT Effects) and ZeboPhoto (QT Movie), and the elegance of Curator, and you've got something great.

with it is that the "next image" and "previous image" menu bar functions don't work. Fix that and I'm sold. For now, I'll keep using GQview under X11 - the king of image viewers imo, and free. I'd love to see a version for os x.

I was especially impressed when I dragged some thumbnails from one window to a folder in a list view in another window. This review would be pushed to 5 stars if gBrowser could rotate thumbnails, and make thumbnails from PSD files and TIFFs with alpha channels. It seems to generate it's thumbnail from the icon rather than the preview that photoshop saves. Ultimately decided not to use this version due to frequent crashing....

I would have liked to rate higher but it just does not work consistently. In my case, gBrowser was unable to generate thumbnails for many image files. Other contenporaneous digital image files were converted to thumbnails without any problem. Asked developer for help but he only advised that gBrowser may be unable to generate thumbnails for certain files.
