Product Description:

If you use Apple iPhoto, you may have been frustrated by the fact that iPhoto forces you to keep all of your pictures in a single library folder and does not let you easily change the location of that folder. With iPhoto Library Manager, you can split your photos up into any number of separate libraries, store them on any disk connected to your computer, and switch back and forth between them easily.
Features:
  • Create and keep track of multiple photo libraries
  • Control the access permissions of all the files within your libraries
  • Fully Applescriptable, so you can write scripts to view your various libraries, rather than having to switch between them manually
  • Separate preferences stored for each library

What's new in this version:

  • Changed the interface around a bit; we now use the standard Cocoa toolbar, as well as using checkboxes to switch libraries
  • We now allow the user to select a library that does not have write permissions (e.g. on a CD)
  • You can drag to reorder the items in the library list, as well as being able to drag a folder into the list to add it
  • iPLM now has the option to automatically set permissions on the active library when launching and/or quitting iPhoto
  • We now display an optional warning when some permissions can't be set.
  • You can now switch libraries from the dock menu
  • Added an option to keep iPLM running after closing the main window
  • Added an option to automatically relaunch iPhoto when switching libraries
  • We now track a library folder when the user moves it to another location
  • Libraries that do not exist on the disk are now displayed in red
  • Added compatibility with iMovie 3 and iDVD 3, so that they can now access pictures from libraries in different locations
  • Fixed a bug where a new untitled library would be added to the list on each launch
  • The main window is now resizable
  • Made full fledged HTML help
  • Added some example Applescripts

iPhoto Library Manager CommentaryTax? - Version: 3.4, 3/26/2008 06:03PM PST

This is just a quick question for the developer (or anyone else familiar with tax laws)

I was about to purchase the iPLM until it showed that I am being charged a tax. My loose understanding is that one cannot charge tax (especially for out of state transaction) when there is not a tangible/physical good involved. For example, if I were buying a boxed software DVD, which is also available in my state (say, from a physical store), then I can be charged a tax. I'm not sure if this is a physical goods issue or an out-of-state issue, but since I had never been charged a tax before under similar circumstances (buying software sold only online, from outside my state [MN]).

I hope I don't sound accusatory; I am genuinely curious how this works.

I appreciate any input! Thank you.
