iPhoto Library Manager CommentaryTax? - Version: 3.4, 3/26/2008 06:03PM PST

This is just a quick question for the developer (or anyone else familiar with tax laws)

I was about to purchase the iPLM until it showed that I am being charged a tax. My loose understanding is that one cannot charge tax (especially for out of state transaction) when there is not a tangible/physical good involved. For example, if I were buying a boxed software DVD, which is also available in my state (say, from a physical store), then I can be charged a tax. I'm not sure if this is a physical goods issue or an out-of-state issue, but since I had never been charged a tax before under similar circumstances (buying software sold only online, from outside my state [MN]).

I hope I don't sound accusatory; I am genuinely curious how this works.

I appreciate any input! Thank you.

iPhoto Library Manager ReviewWorks Great - Version: 3.4, 12/24/2007 05:49AM PST

After buying the registration, this program has done everything it's advertised to do. The most important thing for me is being able to sync multiple iPhoto libraries on 4 machines, and it preserves all metadata.

I discovered you need to be using the same version of iPhoto on all machines, and I had iintermittent problems syncing with one Mac via a wireless router. When I connected it by ethernet the problem went away.

I look forward to a similar iTunes utility.

Program works very well, I'm able to have many libraries and backups made and visible, also allows me to store libraries on external hard drives.

The only problem I've ever had with it, is that the window gets stuck sometimes in the dock when you minimize it, but relaunching the program fixes it.

I love this program. Am successfully using it on Leopard. I was concerned that my iPhoto library was getting way too large. Have used this to keep my various libraries a reasonable size and thus far have avoided corruption of my iPhoto libraries. Can easily switch between libraries

A very cool program and well worth the price. I don't understand why Apple hasn't incorporated this into iPhoto. This completes iPhoto for me.

iPhoto Library Manager CommentaryiPhoto Buddy does this for FREE - Version: 3.3.3, 10/3/2007 09:24PM PST

Perhaps iPhoto Library Manager has more bells and whistles (I'm not sure -- I haven't tried it because it's not worth $20 to me), but iPhoto Buddy does pretty much the same thing (and it does it very well) for FREE.

iPhoto Library Manager CommentaryHow is this different? - Version: 3.3, 8/20/2007 10:06AM PST

Maybe I'm missing some features here, but I can already have as many libraries, and choose them by just holding down control option when opening iPhoto. I have several on my primary HD, and several more on an external HD. I can easily choose which one I want. Perhaps this has options I haven't used, but as far as choosing a library control option works fine.
